Moving On

Note: This was written in Napier over the last days of 2010. The tab at the end is quite messy – formatting music initially in Word was hard enough, too many minutes spent on it already – kinda enjoy doing it my own way anyway…

She was walking down the road that I was walking on
I asked her for her name
She said she’d tell me when I’m gone
Nothing that is lost is ever gone
Holding on a hope we’re moving on

She was swinging on a tree that I was climbing up
I asked her for the time
She said she’d tell me when it stops
. . .

Nothing that is lost is ever gone
And holding on a hope we’re moving on

I was sitting in my car as she was walking by
I asked how far to the ocean
She said not how but why?

Why do you have to know before you go?
If I told you now you’d never really know
And I just watched her go

Nothing that is lost is ever gone
Holding on a hope
I’m moving on
